Mr. Burge has over 22 years of experience in Hawaii's criminal justice system. He worked for nearly 10 years at the Honolulu Police Department, primarily as a patrol officer. After graduating from the Santa Clara Law School, he took and passed the Hawaii Bar Exam. Since then he has worked as a Criminal Defense Attorney for over 12 years. During that time he has practiced throughout Hawaii, in Federal and State courts, where he has represented over 1000 clients before various courts and administrative proceedings, including, the Hawaii Supreme Court, the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals and the Federal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also supervised and trained numerous other Criminal Defense Attorneys.
