Illegal gambling is a petty misdemeanor in Hawaii, punishable by up to 30 days in jail.  A related offense of promoting gambling is punishable from anywhere from one year to ten years in jail.  Promoting gambling occurs when you help facilitate gambling, for instance, being the dealer in a card game.
