Negligent Injury

Negligent Injury could be charged as a misdemeanor or felony, depending on a number of factors including whether alcohol was alleged to have been involved.

This is a fairly vague statute and if the government wanted to they could probably charge this crime in every traffic accident were injuries are involved. Usually they don’t though. These charges are usually only leveled when something else like leaving the scene of an accident or failure to render aid is involved. We would need to talk with you to get specific information on the facts of your case to provide you with any additional information on these charges.
