Resisting Arrest

Resisting Arrest is a full misdemeanor with a maximum possible penalty of one year in jail. You can have either a judge alone, or a jury of twelve members from the community to decide your fate in this case. If you have no prior record, you may be able to clear these charges from your record, even if you feel that you are guilty.

We have represented numerous people for this type of charge. By its nature, there are usually other charges accompanying this case. Sometimes, the police will add the charge to someone who gives them a hard time while being arrested. There are possible defenses, including self-defense to this type of case.
